Once upon a time, in a forest filled with animals, there lived a confident hare named Speedy and a tortoise named Timid who had no confidence. Speedy would boast about his speed and agility, and Timid would always hide behind a tree or a bush whenever Speedy bragged about his abilities.

One day, a race was announced in the forest, and all the animals were invited to participate. Speedy, being the confident hare he was, immediately signed up, while Timid hesitated and didn't even want to participate. But, with a little encouragement from his friends, Timid finally decided to join the race.

The day of the race arrived, and all the animals gathered at the starting line. Speedy, being the first one to start, took off with a confident leap, while Timid barely moved from his starting position.

Speedy, being so confident in his abilities, took a break halfway through the race and decided to take a nap. Timid, who had been steadily making his way to the finish line, took advantage of this and overtook Speedy, crossing the finish line first.

When Speedy woke up and saw that he had lost, he was shocked and couldn't believe it. He realized that his confidence was his downfall and that he had underestimated Timid. On the other hand, Timid, who never believed in himself, had finally found the confidence to participate in the race and even managed to win.

From that day on, Speedy learned to be more humble and to not judge others based on their abilities. Timid, who had found confidence in himself, became more outgoing and was no longer afraid to participate in activities he once feared.

And so, the confident hare and the tortoise who had no confidence lived happily ever after, each learning valuable lessons about life and the importance of confidence and humility.

Notice also that the story tells us that being confident does not mean that you will win. With my clients I like to explore AUTHENTICITY as a key tenet of confidence. As opposed to puffed up peacock confidence.

You are the most qualified person to be you

As a life coach, I believe that self-confidence is the foundation for a fulfilling and meaningful life. And so, I have developed the following methodologies to guide you back to a greater sense of self-confidence:

  4. Embrace Your Unique Talents and Skills: I will help you recognize and utilize your unique talents and skills, so that you can build confidence and achieve your goals by focusing on your strengths.
  5. Surround Yourself with Positive People: I will help you surround yourself with positive and supportive people who uplift and encourage growth. Positive relationships can help increase confidence and self-esteem.
  6. Speak Positively to Yourself: I will encourage you to speak positively to yourself, countering negative self-talk with affirmations and self-encouragement. By speaking positively, you can increase your confidence and self-esteem.
  7. Practice Gratitude: I will guide you to focus on the positive aspects of life and express gratitude for what you have, rather than focusing on what is lacking. By practicing gratitude, you can increase your confidence and self-esteem.

Together, we will work towards a greater sense of self-confidence and a more fulfilling life. 

Moving toward more self-love

As a life coach I often work with people on confidence. If you are doing your own audit on self-confidence you may find the following framework for self-love helpful...
