Video - Chakra Meditation - Introduction
As a meditation teacher I am often asked about ways to work with Chakras. In my own practice I have found Chakra meditations to be very powerful. They deliver tangible effects that not only feel great while I'm doing them but they improve my whole day. Chakra meditations can look and sound really whacky, but don't be quick to judge them. I really recommend that you experiment with chakra meditations to see how they can light up your whole life.
If you are unfamiliar with Chakras, the following wiki-summary sort of says it all.
Chakra is a concept referring to wheel-like vortices which, according to traditional Indian medicine, are believed to exist in the surface of the subtle body of living beings. The chakras are said to be "force centers" or whorls of energy permeating, from a point on the physical body, the layers of the subtle bodies in an ever-increasing fan-shaped formation. Rotating vortices of subtle matter, they are considered the focal points for the reception and transmission of energies. Different systems posit a varying number of chakras; the most well-known system in the West is that of seven chakras. Learn more about the Chakra energetic system here
